As the need for potash continues to grow worldwide, Canpotex is growing to ensure it meets the needs of its customers around the globe. A term position of 14 – 18 months is available for a Manager, Financial Reporting & Budgeting.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Manager, Financial Reporting & Budgeting is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the accounting and reporting functions for inland transportation and product purchases. Working closely with the Vice President, Finance & CFO, you coordinate annual operating plans and budgets for multiple companies in different currencies. You consolidate financial records for twelve companies to produce monthly management reports and annual audited financial statements.

Working at a senior level, you are comfortable analyzing budget variances and dealing with senior executives to detail all variances. An effective writer, you are adept at preparing the monthly president’s report, treasurer’s report, consolidated balance sheet, consolidated statement of revenue and expenditure and sales and administrative costs for the management report to the board.

A skilled communicator, you are able to effectively work with diverse managers to gather the information necessary to develop annual operating plans and budgets and detail variances, and ensure timelines are established and met.

Armed with a Canadian professional accounting designation, a minimum of five years of related senior work experience, expert level knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and experience maintaining US dollar general ledger accounts, you are prepared for this role.
