As the world continues to need potash, Canpotex is growing to ensure it meets the needs of its customers around the globe and is currently seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join the corporate office in Saskatoon.

This newly created position reports to the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and acts as a “go to” person for the Senior Management Team. As a practicing lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Saskatchewan, you have strong analytical abilities complimented with well rounded knowledge in corporate, commercial, contractual and business law.

Your previous experience managing diverse and complex client files prepares you to make immediate contributions. Accountable and sharp, you can multi-task, prioritize, and effectively manage all of your files. You require little daily guidance and are capable of working independently.

You are enthusiastic about new challenges and confident in your ability to provide legal services and insight on various corporate and compliance issues. With your keen attention to detail, strong research skills and excellent communications skills, you are able to prepare and present file summaries and recommendations to executive management and the Board of Directors in a timely manner.

To prepare for this opportunity, you have five to seven years of post-bar experience specializing in corporate governance and business law. You are ready to add your professionalism and expertise to the Canpotex team.
