As the world continues to need potash, Canpotex is growing to ensure it meets the needs of its customers around the globe and is currently seeking a Director of Information Services to join the corporate office in Saskatoon.

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources & Administration, the Director of Information Services leads the IS department and ensures business objectives are achieved by delivering systems and processes that support a broad range of IS solutions that meet the needs of users within the organization.

As a member of the management team, you will contribute to the corporation’s strategic planning process and develop the IS business plan, ensuring achievement of corporate objectives and strong operational management. With responsibility for information technology, mobile and telephone systems, security and business systems, you are adept at managing multiple priorities.

You have previously developed service levels and associated metrics and are comfortable setting standards and ensuring your team meets or exceeds expectations. You balance your strong technical understanding with your ability to lead, coach and develop a team of professionals.

Given the broad range of your portfolio, you will be tasked with leading the development and implementation of a risk management plan to ensure business security and continuity.

To prepare for this opportunity, you have a post secondary degree in computer science or a related field complimented by 6-8 years of progressively responsible operational management experience. Strong project management and technical architecture ability is an asset.
